We are sad to announce that our dear friend and colleague Dr Kat Govier died on Monday 15^th May 2023 at the age of 39.

Kat joined Clare House in 2016 and soon became a much loved and respected member of our team.

Kat was an excellent doctor who was compassionate and deeply devoted to her vocation. She worked tirelessly during her time at Clare House, often the last person to leave the building as she strived to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Kat was a respected GP trainer at the practice who taught with patience and kindness. The knowledge and skills she passed on to her trainees will endure, her continuing influence benefitting countless patients for years to come.

Kat was a wonderful colleague, friend, and confidant whose door was always open. She was endlessly generous with her time, empathetic and always willing to listen to anyone who needed advice, support, or a friendly chat over a cup of tea.

Despite her gentle and kind demeanour, Kat was fiercely determined and an inspiration to us all. She completed marathons against all odds and when she became unwell, faced illness with optimism, strength, and courage.

We will miss her and remember her always.
