We would like to thank our patients for continuing to adhere to social distancing requirements and wearing face coverings when attending the practice.
Regrettably case numbers locally are growing and we are already starting to see the impact of staff needing to isolate. In order to maintain cover throughout the Summer we will need to work more flexibly and may need to change things at short notice.
As a first step we will not be offering pre-bookable appointments more than a week ahead until September. We may also need at times to run an “on the day” service only in order to maintain access. We hope by taking this approach we will be able to avoid the need for significant rearranging of appointments at short notice and that we can continue to maintain our services in the event of any significant staff shortages.
We will continue to maintain a telephone first model with the GPs deciding on who is seen face to face, following either a call or an eConsult.
Our priority is to keep our patients and staff safe and to deliver the best service we can in challenging circumstances. We do however appreciate that this may prove frustrating in the short term and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
